$15K grant for Tigers

After the disappointment of having to cancel the Gundagai Tigers 100-year anniversary celebration due to public health orders last year, Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke recently presented the club with a one-off $15,000 grant from the NSW Government.

“This funding will help cover the costs associated with the late and unavoidable cancellation of their 100-year event last year, due to COVID-19 restrictions,” Ms Cooke said.

“Following contact from the club, I made representations to the Minister for Tourism and Sport, the Hon. Stuart Ayres about the financial impact of the circumstances.

“I am proud to have provided my support to the Gundagai Tigers and I will continue to work hard for our small communities in this respect.”
