The Mobil Highway Service Centre at Coolac is opening in time for the winter school holidays.
With the NSW Government easing travel restrictions within the state and people looking to take a short break, business spokesman Ian Farrar said this is great timing to open the state-of-the-art facility.
Boasting several features as well as providing services currently not available in the local area, the new development will include a children’s playground, outdoor exercise equipment, a dog walking park, horse feed paddocks, a number of picnic areas, ample parking for caravans and trailers, waste disposal facility for caravans, a public laundry, The Happy Truckers lounge, and a food court with ample seating.
Mr Farrar is happy to be opening on schedule.
“This timing is great for the local community, for local business and for travellers around NSW,” he said.
“We are coming out of what has been a challenging time for the people of Australia, and we are excited to be providing opportunities to the locals of Coolac and surrounds.
“This Highway Service Centre offers facilities that are outstanding and we are aiming to be a key destination on the Hume Highway.”
The service centre is located on Muttama Road at the Hume Highway on/off ramps at Coolac.
The site conveniently caters for both northbound and southbound traffic flow and has facilities for all kinds of travellers.
The next NSW school holidays commence on July 6 to July 17.
