Bumper nominations for Gundagai meeting

Gundagai Adelong Race Club is racing on Saturday.

Trainers have thrown their support behind Gundagai-Adelong Race Club’s next meeting, which is set down for Saturday, with 132 gallopers nominated to race. 

The Sky Two meeting will see a six-race-program carrying $15,000 prizemoney per race. 

The 1400m Benchmark 50 Handicap was the most popular race for trainers, with 26 horses entered, while 25 were entered in the 1700m Benchmark 50 Handicap. 

24 gallopers were entered in the 1180m Maiden Plate; 22 for the 1000m Maiden Handicap; 18 for the 1000m Benchmark 50 Handicap; and 17 for the 1100m Class One Handicap. 

Full fields for the Gundagai-Adelong race meeting will be available on Thursday morning with Racing NSW, and readers can pick up Friday’s Gundagai Independent for fields, stories and tips, trials and tribulations.
